Important Information
A very lucky day for Petey and his sister Kali..
Both these souls and 8 yrs old this yr and poor ole Petey has a bit of fear aggression which wasn't super bad but one has to pause before taking these sorts dogs into our care. So off I toddle to pick Karli up and to take a look at Petey and see if we can help for he was due to be put to sleep at 5 today which was breaking my heart...anyhow I walked in the door and after the initial woofing the dogs settled down, I then looked into the kindest eyes of a beautiful dog who just needs a little confidence injected into his life...my long suffering friend Cindy was on hold to hear what could be done and i told her all is okay and we would meet up in Port Melb and she would take Petey then I would continue home with Kali whereshe would stay overnight to be picked up by her foster carer the next day, that was the plan.
Sometimes plans don't work, Cindy and I met up and Petey was easily bribed into thinking that Cindy was the next best to sliced beef, Karli thought so to...I asked do you want to take the both and as quick a flash she she no, do you think I'm stupid and I thought fair enough, we both started to walk away with our dogs in tow and then Petey reached back and Karli reached and they touched noses
as if to say goodbye...well that did our hearts in didn't it!
Suffice to say we now know officially Cindy is stupid with a massive big heart and she will always have my love and respect.
Please note: this is no way a reflection on their original carers who are truly lovely people that only wanted the best for these two dogs
