Important Information

02/02/20

Have you ever been stressed and overwhelmed, like you just want to bite someones head off ????....It can get like that for dogs too, sometimes all that information coming in frazzles ones sense of space and all around can be perceived as a threat...so, basically CC just needs to calm her farm down, the Zombie Apocalypse is not on its way (sorry to all you believers out there)  nor does the dog down the street have a stash of nuclear weapons even though he likes to think so...the bird on the TV is not harbouring any ill-will towards mankind and no it does not have a tiny surveillance camera around its neck and heart seeking missiles strapped to its wings.
We are going to try and teach CC that all is not lost, give her some structure and boundaries, she is an extremely loving soul of a dog who wants nothing more than a cuddle and a romp....stay tuned....

CC is playful, alert and very affectionate. CC has a comical personality and loves to clown around.

While she is currently sharing her foster home with other dogs, unfortunately CC will, when you least expect it, start fights. And when we say fight, we mean fight. As such CC will have to go to a home with no other pets.

She has learned the word no during her time in rescue and to respect boundaries. She is still dog reactive (needs correction) but responds to “leave it, no” ... that being said she will continue to benefit from a firm but fair and consistent approach to leash training around other dogs. She could not be allowed off leash in public areas such as dog parks or off leash dog areas/beaches.

She walks  well on the lead (no pulling).

CC watches the telly. She sits up and watches a movie from start to finish. She used to be extremely reactive if she saw another animal on the telly, barking and growling and pawing at the TV stand. She has learned during her time in rescue to watch telly quietly.

While not recommending she be left alone with very young children this is a standard precaution. CC is a sweet loving animal who needs a family that will give her a consistent routine and respond to her consistently. She loves to please.

She has perfect breathing but overheats quite easily. She would need to take standard Frenchie precautions during hot days with plenty of fresh water and free access to inside.
